Life is unpredictable — and sometimes, all it takes is courage and one voice of support. This is exactly what changed the life of Manni Singh, a young man from Punjab who once struggled to survive in America, worked as a taxi driver, and today owns million-dollar businesses.
In 2006, at the age of 19, Manni moved to San Francisco with hopes of completing his studies. But soon, he discovered that his Indian academic credits would not be accepted in the U.S., forcing him to drop out. Alone in a foreign country, jobless, and unsure of the future, returning to India seemed like his only option.
But then came the turning point.
His mother reminded him to stay strong and not give up. Inspired by her words, Manni decided to start working instead of quitting. He became a taxi driver and spent nearly ten years in the cab business, learning how transportation services, customers, drivers, and city demand operate.
He soon started driving his own cab, expanded to more vehicles, and eventually founded a company for independent drivers called Driver’s Network — which later grew into ATCS Platform Solutions, a marketing and advertising agency for professional drivers.

But his journey didn’t stop there.
Manni and his partner Joypreet also launched Dandies Barbershop & Beard Stylist in Mountain View, California. With a modern grooming concept and premium service experience, it quickly became a popular salon brand.
By 2024:
Dandies generated $1.07 million in revenue
ATCS reached $1.18 million in revenue
Today, Manni owns three Dandies salon outlets, provides employment to over 25 people, and continues to expand. Among them are 15 barbers who earn $7,000 a month, ensuring that success is shared — not hoarded.
From a struggling taxi driver to the owner of two thriving companies, Manni Singh’s story proves one thing:
With resilience, guidance, and hard work, limitations can turn into opportunities.
