“Today, Noida is the biggest employment hub in the textile sector across the entire country,” he said, crediting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the region’s growth and acknowledging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He added that over 5 crore jobs have been generated in the textile sector in the past decade, making it one of the strongest employment engines after agriculture.
$350 Billion Market Vision by 2030
Emphasising rising purchasing power and expanding exports, the minister expressed confidence that India’s textile and apparel industry will reach a market size of $350 billion in the coming years.
He said the sector is not just contributing to economic growth but also strengthening entrepreneurship, empowering MSMEs and increasing women workforce participation.
