2 Hours for 500 Metres: Residents Face Traffic Nightmare Over Incomplete Roads

Residents in a housing locality are facing severe inconvenience due to incomplete road infrastructure, leading to massive traffic congestion and accessibility issues. What was once promised as a well-planned residential zone has now turned into a daily struggle for thousands of families.
According to residents, the issue becomes especially critical during peak hours when nearby institutions host events or meetings.

2 Hours to Cross Just 500 Metres
Highlighting the severity of the situation, Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) president Rajnish Sachdeva said that traffic jams worsen significantly during school or institutional events.
He explained that during parent-teacher meetings or other programmes, it can take nearly two hours to cross just 500 metres, as vehicles parked along the roads block the already narrow pathways.
This not only causes delays but also creates frustration among daily commuters and residents.

Institutes Adding to Traffic Pressure
The presence of nearby establishments, including a management institute and an aviation academy, has further intensified traffic flow in the area.
Frequent events, classes, and gatherings lead to a surge in vehicles, overwhelming the limited road infrastructure and resulting in chaotic conditions.

Promises Made, But Not Delivered
Residents claim that proper roads were part of the original master plan when they purchased their flats. However, years later, the promised infrastructure is still incomplete.
Many homebuyers feel misled, stating that the lack of basic connectivity has significantly impacted their quality of life and property value.

Repeated Complaints, No Resolution Yet
Despite approaching multiple authorities and raising complaints several times, residents say no concrete action has been taken so far.
The lack of coordination between agencies and delays in execution continue to worsen the situation, leaving residents with no immediate relief in sight.
