With 106 skyscrapers over 150 metres, 45 over 200 metres, and one soaring past 300 metres (Lokhandwala Minerva at 301m), Mumbai’s skyline is rising fast and with purpose. Though not in the global top 10, its climb reflects India’s growing urban ambition and architectural evolution.
Global Skyscraper Leaders: China Dominates
At the summit is Hong Kong, boasting 569 buildings above 150 metres, followed by Shenzhen (444) and New York City (317). Dubai, home to the world’s tallest building — the Burj Khalifa (828m) — ranks fourth with 270 high-rises, continuing to shape the Middle East’s vertical identity.
