At the Urban Conclave on Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the state for effectively administering 11 crore COVID-19 vaccination doses to individuals in the state to date.

During the ‘Azadi@75 – New Urban India: Transforming Urban Landscape’ Conference-cum-Expo at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state government had also done at least eight crore Coronavirus testing.

“Uttar Pradesh has successfully administered 11 crore COVID vaccine doses to the people in the state, till now. We have conducted around 8 crore COVID tests,” said UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel attended the event on Tuesday in Lucknow.

The conference-cum-expo is being organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from October 5 to October 7. The event’s main theme is transforming the urban landscape, with a particular emphasis on the revolutionary changes that are occurring in UP.

While Adityanath praised PM Modi’s leadership for the “new apex” of the “new India’s new Uttar Pradesh” in transforming the “urban landscape,” Meanwhile, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh remarked that holding the Urban Conclave in Uttar Pradesh’s capital will help to create a fresh vision of the city, as well as other upcoming cities.

“Organising Urban Conclave in Lucknow will help in drawing a new picture of this city along with other rising & upcoming cities. PM has seen a dream of new India. He has been working for it continuously. India is witnessing his dream being fulfilled,” said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Singh further stated that Prime Minister Modi has envisioned a “dream” of a “new India.” The Union Defence Minister stated that the Prime Minister has been working on achieving the dream ‘continuously’ and that the public now sees PM Modi’s dream as “fulfilled.”

Meanwhile, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has already sanctioned 17.3 lakh houses before PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for 75 UP Urban Development projects under Smart Cities Mission & AMRUT during the Urban Conclave in Lucknow. Puri went on to say that at least 8.8 lakh people have been given dwellings so far.
