From the heights of the Himalayas to the shores of Kanyakumari, India is uniting in breath and spirit.

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations, the Ministry of Ayush has announced a massive public response to its flagship initiative, Yoga Sangam. With over 1,000 organisations already registered, the country is on track to host the largest wellness movement in the world on 21st June 2025.

Entities leading this charge include schools, colleges, RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations), corporates, NGOs, government departments, and community bodies. Spanning all 28 states and 7 union territories, these groups will participate in synchronised yoga demonstrations based on the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) — turning parks, grounds, and campuses into vibrant centres of collective wellness.

A Decade of Global Yoga Leadership

This year’s IDY marks a significant milestone — 10 years since the United Nations recognised International Day of Yoga, following a historic proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. The 2025 theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” reflects India’s renewed commitment to global wellness and sustainable living.

Over One Lakh Locations to Breathe as One

The scale is unprecedented: more than 1,00,000 locations are expected to come alive with yoga sessions, from mountain villages to metro cities. This isn’t just about an event — Yoga Sangam is a movement, aiming to unite millions in a simultaneous act of mindfulness, breath, and movement.

How to Be a Part of Yoga Sangam

Citizens and organisations are invited to join the movement and become wellness ambassadors in their own communities. Here’s how:

Visit yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam

Register your organisation or group

Conduct a local Yoga Sangam session on 21st June 2025

Upload participation details and receive an official Certificate of Appreciation

As India celebrates its cultural pride and commitment to global well-being, Yoga Sangam invites every citizen to roll out their mats and become a part of this historic movement — because when India breathes together, the world heals together.
