Special Enforcement Drive Ahead of New Year
With the New Year celebrations in focus, the Food Safety Department conducted a three-day special enforcement drive to ensure the availability of safe and hygienic food for the public. Adulteration Found in Daily-Use Food Items
Laboratory tests confirmed adulteration in commonly consumed items such as milk, paneer, ghee, and momos chutney. Shockingly, samples collected from reputed and well-established outlets also failed quality checks, proving that adulteration is not limited to small vendors alone.
Zero Tolerance for Public Health Risks
The Food Safety Department made it clear that no compromise will be tolerated when it comes to public health. Officials assured that strict inspections, regular monitoring, and tough punitive action will continue to curb food adulteration and protect consumers.
