In a major boost to local infrastructure, the Greater Noida Authority has issued tenders for multiple development works covering both urban sectors and nearby villages. The move follows long-standing demands raised by residents and local representatives. Officials have confirmed that development work will begin soon once the tender process is completed.
22 locations selected for new works and maintenance
According to authority officials, a total of 22 locations have been identified where either new development work or annual maintenance will be carried out. While fresh construction will be taken up at several places, routine upkeep and resurfacing will also be ensured in other areas to maintain existing infrastructure.
Village development receives special focus
Several villages in the Greater Noida region have been included in the development plan. In Chuharpur Khadar village, a playground will be secured with a boundary wall and equipped with sports facilities for children. This is expected to encourage outdoor activities and provide a safe recreational space.
In Achheja village, the main entry road will be converted into a cement concrete (CC) road, improving connectivity and reducing dust-related problems. Similarly, Ajayabpur village will witness multiple development works aimed at improving basic infrastructure.
Road resurfacing and connectivity projects planned
In Patwari village, resurfacing work will be carried out on plots under the 6 percent abadi scheme, addressing complaints related to damaged roads. Additionally, a 60-metre-wide service road will be constructed from ITBP Rotary to Wipro Rotary, a key stretch expected to ease traffic movement and improve connectivity for daily commuters.
Annual maintenance tenders also issued
Along with new construction, the authority has issued tenders for annual maintenance works in several sectors and villages. This includes repair of existing roads, upkeep of public spaces, and maintenance of infrastructure already in use. Officials believe this approach will prevent deterioration and reduce the need for repeated major repairs.

Projects based on public demand
Authority officials have stated that these development works were finalised after reviewing demands raised by residents from different areas. Priority was given to locations facing long-standing infrastructure issues, especially those affecting daily movement, safety, and community facilities.
Work to begin soon, officials assure
Officials have assured that once the tender formalities are completed, work will be started without delay. Monitoring mechanisms will also be put in place to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.
Step toward balanced urban and rural growth
Urban planners believe this initiative reflects a balanced approach toward city and village development. By investing in both urban sectors and rural pockets, the Greater Noida Authority aims to improve quality of life, strengthen connectivity, and support long-term regional growth.
